Roughly three days had passed since part of the Forest of the Four Seasons opened.

Thanks to Asella’s prompt announcement, various nations responded, but that was strictly the response of governments.

There was always a faction bound to cause trouble before states could react, the prime example being the Adventurers Guild.

That place was none other than the Central Plains. The entrance to the Forest of the Four Seasons in the Central Plains was located in a vast plain.

Furthermore, although it shared a border with Mountain, it was blocked by a colossal mountain range, rendering it largely irrelevant.

In effect, the Central Plains had to defend the entire plain alone. Yet, the imperial court of the Central Plains paid no heed.

The reason was simple: the entrance to the Forest of the Four Seasons was much closer to the Demonic Cult than to the imperial court.

Even if the ecosystem collapsed, the Cult would suffer damage first; as long as the imperial court protected the capital, they didn’t care.

"Should we not swiftly dispatch cultists to the entrance?"

The ability to overcome them was quick wit and adaptability, which was most necessary to rise to the top.

Since the animals of the Forest of the Four Seasons were lumps of variables themselves, it wasn’t strange even if the Heavenly Demon personally made an appearance.

Rather than a horse being chased by a lion, the lion was being chased by a horse.

Furthermore, the appearance of that horse was truly fascinating—it possessed a mix of white and black stripes.

It was a mind-boggling scene, as if it had chewed up and swallowed the food chain along with grass.

Yoo So-wol watched the sight with great interest, curious about what outcome would emerge.
